" a helping hand "

Photobucket

well, this is the usual scenario here when the flooding gets worse,
you have two options:
either your shoes/feet get soak in those filthy water or
simply pay a small fee to that guy over there. ^0^
can't believe it's the end of Wednesday already!

" waterfalls "

Photobucket

Photobucket

so this foto has got nothing to do with Manila.
It's just me, bored after dinner, watching re-runs,
went to the sink and take these shots. ^0^

Have a great day ahead!

" The Pasig River "

A wasted graffiti on the side and some old lampposts,
come at night, the place literally looks like a ghost town.

Photobucket

I think these are Water Hyacinths/Lilies
and they seem to be thriving on polluted waters.

Photobucket

Surprisingly though, The river didn't smell bad at all...

" Mermaid Sunset "

why mermaid?

The way I imagine it:

The sun is its head and the way it shines down on the water as it flicker is its tail.

one can't help but be riveted about it. ^-^

I wish you all a super great weekend ahead. ^0^

" Dolce far niente "

Photobucket

* the sweetness of doing nothing... in short: being Idle. ^0^

The phrase that gets stuck in my head after watching Eat, Pray, Love.

Has anyone of you seen this film? ^-^

btw, the foto was taken last week along the strips of the bay
and the moment was too hard to miss, almost perfect timing.

happy weekend everyone!

" Surrealism "

a bit distorted don't you think?

Photobucket

That's because it's a reflection.
It looks good when the water isn't murky.
I wish it stays that way.

" Sta. Cruz Plaza Fountain "

Strategically outside Sta. Cruz Church, right at the heart of Chinatown.
This structure definitely looks European, that's because its history dates back when the idea was to commemorate the installation of the water system by Spanish Engineer Don Francisco Carriedo of the Department of Waterworks in 1884.

Photobucket

Although the one you see right now is a reproduction, it's still maintained its
authentic design.

Don't know why but a closer look at its detail reminded me of Savage Garden's
music video. ^0^

melody: truly,madly,deeply- Savage Garden

"Reflection"

Photobucket

This is the closest shot I could get...a fountain and its still waters.
seen outside the museum of Ayala in Makati.
Pepperoni and i were silently capturing these reflections, seconds later, a security guard calmly arrived and told us...
"ma'am, sorry but no picture taking...the facade of the edifice, not even this fountain... unless you have a valid permit and reason to..."
I never let him finish his sentence, we smiled and said "never mind, it's okay..."

It could've been an interesting one to post to, sadly, even the facade is off limits... is there so much "treasure" inside that's too valuable to share?
do we look like paparazzi/terrorists?

*Ps: Inspired by other cdp bloggers, who can capture a good water reflection. ^0^
