where in the world is Tagbilaran? ...

Tagbilaran is the capital of Bohol (province) , a popular destination known for its pristine beaches, underwater diving, the "Kisses" (CHocolate Hills) and of course, the endangered Tarsier.

Join me as I post something out of Manila and visit something nature lover and 
beach bum likes. 

 

I was happy when Mom said she'd be going to Bohol last two weeks ago with her friends for a 
get together/bonding/reminiscing the old days. 
so, for 4days and 3nights, packed with sunscreen, a tropical hat, shades, re-chargeable batteries and the whole post-summer escapade things,
she was off along with her handy camera.  ^0^

 


 so, here are some of the highlights and must see, if ever you wish to visit Bohol.

They say it's one way to de-stress and helps your mind as well.
I don't know, i don't really have the patience for it,
I felt like it's time consuming. ^-^
I tried it when i was a kid, but I always end up throwing in my queen,
I guess it's not my cup of tea.
But interesting to see that children as young as them seem to be having fun in
this game.

It took me awhile before I could post this foto because
I was hesitant at first.

Wondering why this guy has this sheepishly grin on his face? ^0^
Well, in a typical boisterous public market,
a crowd started to gather around this barricaded area,
so curious as I can be,
I walked further to see what's it about and saw that there's an unofficial cockfight that's about to happen.
It's illegal to hold cockfights and place bets elsewhere except in particular places.
But the locals can be err, really stubborn at times. ^-^

I was hoping to sneak a few fotos to post when this guy quickly caught sight of me, and oops! I thought he'd be mad, but instead, gave me this aha!-you-caught me-smile.
So,in a jiffy, I ended up with a blurry foto of him and his dear rooster.
