and like always, it's packed with people during rush hour
while on the other side, all seem quiet.
This security guard though, dedicated and alert on his job in maintaining
peace and order.

" Everything's bleu "

I had my car renewed this morning.
It wasn't as bad as I hoped it would be.
What usually seem like long hours of waiting and some grueling process,
today surprisingly, it wasn't congested and crowded at all.

This is one of the LTO- (Land Transportation Office) branches here in Manila.
Isn't it screaming blue everywhere? ^0^



I'm waiting for my name to be called, I think it must be window#5,
The space wasn't well lighted, so it's hard to get a good frame.
The label on the right is an instruction on how to get a proper car registration.

" Slim Shady "

..so goes the name of this Jeepney.
maybe it was inspired by Eminem. ^0^
It's already late at night, but you can still catch a ride.
The minimum jeepney fare costs P 7.- pesos for the first 4kms. but it increases depending on how far you're going.
Although newly installed, air conditioned rides are available for tourism purposes and some well known areas.

This is what you see daily, still old school.

Jeepney is one of the most convenient and popular transportation here in the Phils.
For less than a dollar, it can take you from north to south.
Although originally introduced by the Americans back in wwII.
This mode of transporation has been symbolic and is part of our everyday culture.

This gaudy looking jeep is a sample of what it looks like.It looks new and well-polished bec. i suppose this is just a display to show tourist or locals who passed by this area.

*But note for the faint hearted:If you happen to ride on one of our local jeeps... prepare for a ride of a lifetime! ^-^

Jeepney drivers here tend to drive so fast like you're chasing up and away to infinity and beyond.,but surely an experience not to be missed.

...along these tracks while waiting for my usual ride....

Light Rail Transit System or "LRT" is one of the main rail system.The line commences at Baclaran and ends in Monumento Station.
The photo you see here is at Central Station...
The 1st half of the LRT (from Baclaran to Central) officially opened to the public on December 1, 1984. The second half (from Central Terminal to Monumento) was opened onMay 12, 1985.
The fare of the LRT is distance-based, with fares ranging from P12 - P15 pesos (that's about $ 23-29cents).

~ one of the worst things that could happen to you... getting stuck inside your car... couldn't go outside or move ahead because it was raining heavily and floods are everywhere... this is always the situation here... like today, it's raining like cats and dogs literally here in metro manila... tonight, on our way home, we couldn't pass by some of the streets or even the small alleys, hence the traffic... because water was just too deep...commuters were also stuck because buses and taxis couldn't get in...
