" Tarsier "

Alas! on their 2nd day,
Off they went to see the famous Philippine Tarsier.

Its size is only 3-6 inches in height!



so Small that my four-eyed mom thought this was it! ^0^



they had to climb a few plight of stairs before reaching its hub.



which strictly restricts anyone from flashing their camera or
making loud noises.

" Black Chicken "

Don't be fooled by its white feathers,
because contrary to ordinary chickens,
its skin and its bones are all Black.
Hard to believe right > ?

In common markets here in downtown and I think you can only find it here.
Ask any vendor about black chicken or "Ulikba" in tagalog
or if you know a little Fookien ( chinese dialect ), you can inquire "Diong Kue" simply and i'm sure they know it.
A piece of this can be quite expensive than normal chickens and depending on its quality and size.



It's a common, comfort soup by the Chinese people, the locals here specifically buys this chicken
and mixed them with some medicinal herbs and spices.
They're good for the immune system and very nutritious as well.
But if you don't know how to cook them,
you can always order this from a chinese restaurant. ^0^

Next time, I'd be sure to post a black chicken soup,
see how it looks like, so you'd have an idea. ^0^

" Wasp "

It's quite uncommon for a wasp to lurk around our neighborhoood,
it's full of pesky mosquito or fly usually.
I was surprised to find one outside our apartment.
It seem unperturbed and it stayed at the same position for sometime,
so I finally pull out my camera and took some fotos of it.
It took me awhile before finally getting this macro look,
I must confess that I was scared to get too close to it. ^0^

" The lion and the cat "

On a sunny morning in Chinatown, while I was looking for a scene to capture and
as my eyes were wandering around.
I saw two Chinese guardian lions ( aka lions of Buddha, stone lions) infront of me,
There was nothing particularly special about them except for this stray old kitty I found hidden quietly underneath one of the sculpture.
Believe me, i'm no cat-lover as i don't hate them either, but we just got a lot of them here.
I find this very amusing and odd at the same time,
She was obviously stressed out from the heat, discovered a shaded spot where she can relax ammidst the rush of people passing by.
An onlooker was wondering what am i doing on the corner of the street ? what was i taking ?
He finally grinned and said, Ah! you were just taking a foto of a cat and I thought it was me! ^0^

are you a cat lover?



Some random stray cat i found on the street, typical of manila, you'll either find dogs or cats lurking here and there, i was careful not to disturb him/her while silently, i took the shot from a distance, surprise-surprise! it was staring back at me. I was caught off guard, maybe he can sense my presence already.
