- at the end of Magallanes drive and right along Pasig river, situated in an incongruous spot
stands the plaque of Plaza Mexico.
What used to be an original port of the galleons many years ago.
This monument commemorates the Phil.-Mexican friendship and was installed some 45 years ago by
the late Pres. Macapagal and the former Pres. Adolfo Mateos of Mexico.
Imagine what this place would've been like years ago...^0^

You would have thought for the sake of Mexico-Philippine diplomacy they would make it look a bit more cared for.
ReplyDeleteMexico has the same monument erected and inaugurated at the same time it was open to the public in Manila. The Mexican Counterpart was in a very good condition.
