I'm having second thoughts whether or not i should post this one.
Apart from the wonderful sights there's to see,
a deeper social problem here needs to be resolved and that is
hoping to alleviate poverty.
Somehow Paul Simon's song reminded me of this "reality".
"People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dare
Disturb the sound of silence."
The glitters of big cities always attract those who are often ill-prepared to fight in it.
ReplyDeleteBut social problems in big cities may also be the result of mismanagement.
This is a poignant photo.
Great panning here arabesque. Social problems is everywhere, even in the most richest countries. This is always sad to see.
ReplyDeletebrilliant photo. You have a magnificent eye. thank you.

ReplyDeleteVery well captured. Thanks for sharing a bit of reality. We shouldn't look the other way.
ReplyDeleteVery good concept of this photo: the world is not stopping quickly in people who are homeless. Very good composition and good set of lights. Congratulations
ReplyDeleteThe subject may be sad, really sad, but your photo is just excellent! Of course you should post it!
ReplyDeleteBig cities have many facets. Manila too. And, I guess, the Philippines is experiencing many problems as people move en masse from the countryside to the city. I hope people talk about these problems and alleviate them as much as they can.
ReplyDeleteGood photo, by the way,
Beautiful photo arabesque, very well captured and a great way to introduce a valid social commentary
ReplyDeleteMakes me remember "sound of speed" of Coldplay.

very touching Arabesque and very true....
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you posted it, J. It is a reality of Manila — and of the rest of the country, and of many other places in the world. We all need to be reminded every now and then that we all have to do something about our poor and our environment.
ReplyDeleteI agree with them. This subject may be sad but it indeed show the reality of Manila.
ReplyDeleteHay buhay...napapa-sigh na lang ako.
