The reason for this grand monument standing infront of Central road is because of
Andres Bonifacio
.- one of our great heroes, a filipino nationalist,
he is one of those who fought hard against the spaniards during the revolution.

The KKK flag which means
Katipunan
(Union) is a secret society founded by Bonifacio himself.

This coming November 30,we would be celebrating Bonifacio day, which means it's a Public holiday for us also.

  1. Didn't this used to be just a plain relief? I don't remember the colors, tiles and brick. Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention…

  3. Very colorful for a monument. I guess that makes it harder to maintain, I would imagine they have to repaint it every few years. I like reading posts like these that hint to the history of Philippines, especially since, I have to confess that I don't know too much about it.
